Purpose Built for Jellyfin
Direct play, never transcoded
JellyMold carries its own FFmpeg-based playback engine and decodes on the device, so your server hands over the original file untouched. No transcoding, no quality lost to a re-encode, and no reason to keep a powerful machine in a cupboard just to watch a film.
Every server, one library
Add as many servers as you like and browse them as a single in-app library. The same film on two servers appears once, and a series split across servers is one series. Choose which copy to play when it matters.
Take it with you
Download a film, an episode, or a whole season for the flight. Downloads are complete files kept safely out of the system cache, fetched in the background, and the app works fully with no server in reach at all.
Subtitles that actually turn up
Text and bitmap subtitles both — PGS and VOBSUB decoded outside the render path — with forced tracks honoured, your own styling, and your server's subtitle providers.
Straight past the titles
Jellyfin's media segments become a skip button, or a skip that you can set to be automatic if you prefer. Episodes can auto-play into the next without a gap.
Scrub, chapter, and seek at once
Trickplay thumbnails as you scrub, a chapter list that names where you are, and seeks that land in a fraction of a second because the file is cached as you watch.
Sound tuned for dialogue
Surround downmixed so speech stays intelligible rather than merely loud, with optional dynamic range compression for late-night watching and manual audio delay when a track drifts.
Picture in Picture
Leave the page and playback follows you into a real floating window, or docks above the tab bar. You choose whetehr you want this or not.
From home, or away
For each server you can add an internal or an external address or both. If you happen to be on the go and want to access your server from outside your home network, you can do so without having to login again.
Nothing leaves your device
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind. Your servers, your library, and what you watch are yours — we cannot see any of it, because none of it is ever sent to us.
iPhone and iPad now. Apple TV coming soon.
JellyMold requires iOS or iPadOS 26.1 or later. A tvOS version is in development and will be a free part of the same app. Family sharing is also enabled, so only purchase per household.
JellyMold is made by Virtue Apps. It is not affiliated with the Jellyfin project, and it is not a general-purpose media player — it is built for Jellyfin servers, and shaped around what they can actually do.
